Three Sisters at the Top
In May, Johanne Taraldsen (middle), the last of three sisters, graduated from Vefsn Folkehøgskole Toppen. And everyone has walked the line Sports and Outdoor Activities, with Ulf Langmo as line teacher. It's not that special that we have sibling recruitment for the Top, but three sisters on the same line don't happen as often.
Josefine is the oldest, and was a sophomore in 2014—15 and a sophomore (stipp) in 2015—16. Then Jonette also came to the top, and both were at the Idrettslinja here that year.
The first thing we thought when we saw an application in the stack with the surname Taraldsen again, was that here there must then be a connection. And that was it, because here came Johanne — sister number three! It's very nice when things like that happen, because it's a real quality stamp for us as a school.

Surely you had some expectations for the top, Johanne?
Yeah, I actually had quite a few expectations before The Top, considering how warmly my siblings had talked about it. And it was exactly as they said. Ended up with memories and friends for life!
What have you learned at the top this year?
I've learned a lot over the course of the year. There are so many different people, and it's just positively. Just living so close to people means you have to learn not to just think about yourself. I also learned a lot from testing my own borders, and exit out of the comfort zone min.
Josefine and Jonette think it was great to come back to the end of the summit to pick up Johanne. They hadn't forced her to go to the Top, but they had done everything they could to convey how nice they'd had it here.
How did you get Johanne to choose the top?
We have both mast on her for over a year going on the Top with no luck. After we were done with the fuss, she found out for herself that she wanted it. After all, we have talk hot About Toppen, how well you get to know others by living so close, everything you experience and the sports line with Ulf as a teacher. A fun year that can't be compared to anything else.
What happens next with the Taraldsen sisters?
We have both lived in Trondheim ever since Top. Worked and tried various studies. Jonette is now finishing a master's in psychology at NTNU in Trondheim, and Josephine I will soon finish nursing at Innlandet University College. Then we'll see where the road goes.
Johanne will either work in Trondheim for six months, then move into a collective in Oslo with friends she made at Toppen. Or she's considering fellow at the Top, she too. Now they are no more siblings in this Taraldsen family, but maybe we will see some of the children of Josefine, Jonette or Johanne here sometime in the future. That would have been very stately! It is doubtful that Ulf is still a teacher at Idrettslinja then, but who knows? buts Vefsn Folk High School Toppen They will be here and welcome the next generation as well.
