Mette is passionate about the values of the Folk High School. She became that after a year at Follo FHS. She is a trained Norwegian teacher with literary studies as a field of study, is a textbook author and holds a master's degree in school management. She has a long time as a teacher at the junior level and enjoys working with people. Mette values both culture and nature. You'll find her just as easily on a mountaintop as at a concert.

Nina is a trained teacher with an emphasis on music and drama, and has been with us since 1997. She has further education in substance abuse problems, special pedagogy and cultural entrepreneurship. Nina has taught both music and theatre, but now she keeps track of our office and marketing. The rest of the time she happily sits in the office and concocts school developments and other new things.

Has a versatile background in sports and outdoor activities. Bachelor of Sports from Telemark University College. Additional education in kayaking, skiing and glacier from Idrettshøgskolen and Sogn og Fjordane University College. In addition, he has university education in social sciences from Bodø University College. He has previously worked with children's sports, been a cultural consultant and project manager within sports and outdoor activities in Vefsn Municipality. Ulf also has an involvement as a club supervisor in Nordland Idrettskrets. Football coach with UEFA B license, div. coaching courses browse Innebandy. Also active in sports, outdoor activities and hunting.

Asbjørn has worked for many years with outdoor life teaching, and he is at least as enthusiastic as the students if not more. He is a trained outdoor life teacher, but has also studied geography and sports subjects. Asbjørn has been climbing for many years, and is Climbing Instructor Sport NF, Climbing Leader Inne NKF, and Trainer 1 NKF. When it is too wet to climb, it is kayaking that is applicable. With the second highest level in Norway (Turleder HAV NPF) and in the UK (BCU 4 * Leader tr.), he is a competent paddling instructor, with experience from short and long paddling trips at home and abroad. In winter, he enjoys ice climbing, going on easy summit hikes, snow kiting, skiing and sledding inland in the mountains, or taking a short hike in the surrounding area to fire winter fires.

Brit is our acting teacher and thinks she has the best job in the world! She has a teacher education and studied drama/theatre at NTNU. After many years in the industry, she has coveted experience and is widely used as a director on various projects and performances. Brit is fond of people, and always finds an opportunity to strike up a chat. She is involved in most things at Toppen, and in the cultural life of Mosjøen, with music, revue — and theatre productions. Brit is lively, bubbly and thoughtful. She is imaginative and committed, and loves to realize exciting projects on stage.

Jonas graduated with a bachelor's degree in outdoor activities and a master's degree in sports science from Høgskolen på Vestlandet. He has worked as a river and sea paddling instructor for several years, and has previously also worked in child welfare and in primary schools. In his spare time, he is active in snowboarding, mountain hiking and trail biking. Has a strong professional interest in outdoor life guidance and pedagogy.

Solveig is a creative and versatile lady. Already in adolescence, she began to take an interest in photography. She has carried a camera on outdoor trips around the world, and has a bachelor's degree in photography from studies in the United States. Solveig also has education in sports and outdoor activities, and she has spent countless hours on the football and volleyball courts.

Alf Marius is a trained musician at the Tromsø Conservatory, where he studied performing music. Elbass is the main instrument, but he also handles piano, drums and guitar well. Alf Marius has many releases over several projects and aliases. At work, he is energetic, bubbly and motivating. On the home front, he is a dedicated family man with a keen interest in MMA, mindfullness and gaming.

From TV games like Tekken and Fifa alongside his buddies in childhood, to COD, League of Legends, Overwatch and WoW in more adulthood, Kevin is now an avid eSports and Gaming teacher. With bachelor's - specialist teacher education in physical education and sports subjects in addition, he has a lot to add both sportingly and as a human being. Kevin is keen for students to have a good time and be seen, regardless of their background.

Denne kokken er ikke bare god til å lage mat, men har også vanvittig godt humør. Ketil har jobbet i bransjen i drøyt 12 år, og vi er veldig glade for å ha fått han med på laget. På fritida kan du se han med fiskestang på jakt etter storfisken, gjerne med to fine unger på slep.

Anki is a chef, loves people and enjoys having students around her in the kitchen. She hands out care and hugs and always keeps her spirits up. She has experience both from hotels and bakeries, and quickly solves some world problems over a bread dough. If you take Elective Food in 10 minutes, it's Anki who teaches you the tricks.

Dan has long had a great desire to work at a folk high school, and now he has finally got a chance as a Boarding School Leader. He has had that dream since he himself attended Sund Folkehøgskole. Dan is caring and in good spirits, and always takes the time for a chat. He has education in economics and pedagogy, and in addition he enjoys training, writing, playing squash and fifa. You meet Dan all over the place at school, all year round.

Lilly works as a cleaner and kitchen assistant with us. Previously, she worked as a kindergarten assistant at Toppen for 27 years. Lilly is the happiest cleaner you can imagine, and she spends her free time on family, needlework and outdoor activities.

Per Tore is the operations technician at the house. He's like the potato - he can be used for anything. He had his own carpentry business and can conjure up tables, benches and cabinets if anyone wishes — if he has the time to spare. In his spare time, he drives snowmobiles and sings in a men's choir.
