Easter holidays from 27.03 (first day off) through 07.04 (last day off). The first teaching day after the Easter holidays is Wednesday 08.04.

Closing event for annual and spring courses on the morning of May 9, 2026. School closes the same day.

Autumn holidays from Thursday 01.10 (first day off) through Monday 12.10 (last day off). The first day of classes is Tuesday13.10.2026.

Christmas holidays starting from Friday 18.12 (first day off) Lessons are finished at 14.00 the day before holiday.

SPRING 2027

Student reception Monday 04.01.2027

First day of teaching is Tuesday 05.01.2027

Easter holidays from Friday 19.03 (first day off) through Monday 29.03 (last day off). Classes are completed at 14.00 the day before vacation.

First day of teaching after Easter is Tuesday 30.03.2027

Closing event for annual and spring course in the morning May 8, 2027. School closes the same day.

We have an all-day student reception on Sunday 23th August, and a joint meeting in the evening when most students have arrived. Send an email to the school and let us know when to expect you. Those arriving by plane and train are picked up on request. See more info in the link with information that you receive by email. After holidays, a pick-up is set up for students on the last day off.

Vacations

During holidays, the school is closed and you must leave the school grounds. You can return home after the end of classes at 14.00 the day before the start of the holiday/first day of the holiday unless otherwise stated. You must leave school during the first day of vacation. It is not possible to stay overnight at the boarding houses after the holiday has started. It is therefore wise to arrange tickets well in advance. You can return from vacation the day before classes start. As a rule, the first meal is supper on this day.

For students from countries with long travel distances, other agreements can be made on request.

The folk high school year is busy and full of impressions, and during the holidays it can be nice to go home and be well cared for by parents and friends.

Below you can see what the schedule looks like in regular weeks. There might be some adjustments for the next school year, but the hourly ratio will be the same. Most electives take place in the afternoon/evening. Some course activity also involves working in the evening. We plan details for the year in periods, which will entail some changes to the plan throughout the year.
