Martin Strait
The highlight was when we were on Drevjamoen Military Camp. We got a lot more done than I thought we were going to be allowed to, and that was Awsome! We got to be in action in the exercises, lay out in the field and spend the night with room inspection, and it was really good! Sergeant Sindre Bjørkmo who gave us theory whether the military itself. He went through everything thoroughly, so now i am at least prepared for the theory and practicality of the field.

To attend this line you just need to be motivated to join and say YES. It will make you a braver version of yourself and you will be better equipped for the future.

Common
Mosjøen ligger i en heimevernskommune og det er en stor fordel. Vefsn Folkehøgskole har muligheten til å benytte oss av øvingsfelt og kompetanse tilknyttet Drevjamoen leir, som er base for trening og øving av enheter i Heimevernet. Her får du være med ut i felten og forberedt deg på en hverdag i forsvaret. Det innebærer blant annet:
- Fysiske tester
- Presentasjon verdigrunnlag
- Informasjon om Forsvarets krav til indretjeneste
- Grunnleggende prinsipper for infanteri og stridsledelse
- Gruppeetablering
- Våpenkjennskap
- Kjennskap til hvordan Forsvaret trener grunnleggende infanteriferdigheter
- Puss og vedlikehold
- Rominspeksjon
Vi har også mange aktiviteter sammen med andre linjer på skolen f.eks. Idrett/ Friluftsliv, X-sport og Friluftsliv LETT. Vi drar til Hemavan eller Grong og står på ski i lag, felles overnattingsturer, aktivitetsdager og idrett. Vi er også veldig åpne for at du kan være med litt på en annen linje iblant.
Helgeland har de fineste fjellene, og vi kan velge mellom klassikere som De Syv Søstre til fots og lokale turer med god skikjøring. De lave, men spisse kystfjellene er også utrolig flotte. Vi har en teoretisk innføring i skredlære sammen med friluftslinjene, slik at vi lærer å ta trygge turvalg i praksis.
Vi satser på flere overnattingsturer med ulikt innhold, og ingenting er som å sove under åpen himmel i Nord-Norge.
Bli med på Rafting med River North. Vefsnavassdraget har fantastiske forhold for rafting og elvepadling, og det kan du bare glede deg til. Passer alle nivåer.
Vi pakker sekken og legger ut på en lengre tur der vi legger inn øvelser med kart og kompass, og får erfaring med å takle naturen og fungere godt sammen ute på tur over tid.
Vi har også en rekke andre aktiviteter på linja som ikke faller direkte under noen kategori. For eksempel grottevandring i Øyfjellgrotta, ulike lagkonkurranser, teambuilding, samspill og samhandling.

Certain activities we do on the line we can facilitate some physical challenges if it is compatible with the content of the line. Contact us to discuss what we can do to accommodate your needs. We can also find alternative solutions if the activities are too extensive, for example by hospitalization on other lines when the activity is not feasible.
- Registration fee: NOK 2,700, -
- Living costs: NOK 95.922, - Covers food and living expenses for the full school year.
- Common costs: NOK 10,300, - Includes communityexcursions/cinema/performances/concerts, laundry, internet and administration costs. In the price you also get a school jacket, a yearbook and various tripslocally.
- Line costs NOK 9550, - covers all costs on the line, materials and study trip to Lofoten. The price varies somewhat between the lines.
Total Costs:
Half-year Fall: NOK 65,361, -Including line trip. Subject to changes.
Miscellaneous additions:

If you have Norwegian citizenship, Lånekassen has excellent scholarship schemes and loan opportunities. If you quit school during the school year, you must pay tuition for 6 weeks from the end date. This also applies if you were to be expelled for violating school rules.
We don't have too many criteria for who can apply, but youhave to be 18 years old or become so during the first semester. You can apply from October 1 to next year's courses and we are admitting students on an ongoing basis from November 15. Then you will receive an email from uswith a response to the application. We will continue to admit students until the school are filled. In some cases, the composition of the line will determine whether you can fit or have to be put on a waiting list. For example,the composition of instruments may be of importance. If there are more applicants for a line than there is room for, your applicant number will determine whether or not you get an offer. In some cases, gender balance will have an impact.
Line teachers usually contact those who apply. Then you can get to know each other a little better and find out if you have found the course that suits you best. Maybe you have some questions, are unsecure or have something you want to tell us about yourself.

Line teacher
Jonas graduated with a bachelor's degree in outdoor activities and a master's degree in sports science from Høgskolen på Vestlandet. He has worked as a river and sea paddling instructor for several years, and has previously also worked in child welfare and in primary schools. In his spare time, he is active in snowboarding, mountain hiking and trail biking. Has a strong professional interest in outdoor life guidance and pedagogy.
Has a versatile background in sports and outdoor activities. Bachelor of Sports from Telemark University College. Additional education in kayaking, skiing and glacier from Idrettshøgskolen and Sogn og Fjordane University College. In addition, he has university education in social sciences from Bodø University College. He has previously worked with children's sports, been a cultural consultant and project manager within sports and outdoor activities in Vefsn Municipality. Ulf also has an involvement as a club supervisor in Nordland Idrettskrets. Football coach with UEFA B license, div. coaching courses browse Innebandy. Also active in sports, outdoor activities and hunting.
