Invitation to the 125th anniversary

Vefsn Folkehøgskole Toppen 125 years
Here it is to be celebrated! In 2024, it is 125 years ago Vefsn Folk High School was founded, and then We invite former students and staff Go to the top to celebrate with us. We have set aside Saturday, June 8 for a festive dinner and celebration at the school, and then we will open that as many as possible may come on anniversary weekend this year. Those who have 10, 25 and 50 years of anniversary are of course especially welcome!
There will be a warm welcome and a tour of the school, reminiscing about past times and thoughts about the future at the Top. We serve a lovely festive dinner from the phenomenal chefs in the kitchen, possibly spiced up with a couple of speeches. In addition, we invited the band LOVE to come and give a concert for us at school. It should be mentioned that there is a former pupil with behind the drums.
ABOUT THE BAND:
ELSK was formed in 2020 by the trio Kim Lie, Aleksander Emilsen and Chris Slettvoll. In the fall of 2020, the band released the single “alt e slightly better nu” which received a lot of radio time.
On January 2021, they signed with KKV for the album “Hjertet æ bar”. The record was released in March of that year. Critic in Avisa Nordland, Rune Slyngstad gave the record a dice roll of 6. December of the same year, the album is voted the best release of the year from Nordland in front of a number of nationally recognized artists.
In the autumn of 2021, ELSK spent a tour of Nordland, from the largest cities to islands far out in the sea gap. The tour was rounded off at Kjerringøy, where the band became the first band to play at the new location for the TV2 success Every time we meet.
On April 2022, ELSK won the songwriting competition Den Store Låtfesten in Stormen Konserthus. In this context, the band released the single “Det hyla i braksan”. Avisa Nordland wrote “The song is powerful, it builds up towards a climax. This is both delicious, gorgeous and creepy.” Dice Roll 6
In the summer of the same year, the band played several festivals, including during the opening day of the ØYA festival in Oslo.
In November 2023, the band released “Say Something” and the media reported: “ELSK consolidates its position as a mediator of the very big emotions”. ELSK ended 2023 with a tour for Nordlandshospithuset's 5000 employees to rave feedback from the public.
If anyone wishes, it will be possible to come on Friday to reminisce more. Maybe we have someone who wants to contribute something to the celebration? Contact us, we appreciate it!
Enrollment
We fill the school's boarding house and premises as far as possible, so if you want to stay at the school it pays to be early with registration. Registration form via attached link or QR code, and the registration deadline is May 8. Complementary program will be sent when it is ready.

There are several good accommodation options in Mosjøen, so if the school should be full, there is still hope!
We look forward to gathering as many people as possible to celebrate 125 years of memories and experiences at the Top! Join us!
