What is the monologue project?

When it has been over 15 years with The monologue project, of course, leads to many different performances. The monologue project starts with creative writing, where students will arrive at a monologue they will be showing off to the rest of the school. In previous years, some students have written and performed their own monologues, while others have performed already written texts. The main purpose was to perform monologues on a stage. This year, however, there was one more open task It opened up other ways of expressing themselves.

The task

This year's task with Creative mix took as a starting point a painting session with which they started the project. Personal paintings were created downstairs in the Black Box, and afterwards students would use the inspiration to write a monologue text in I-form. This year there was no requirement to perform the monologue on a stage, students could make paintings, draw, dance — yes, what they felt was the best fit for themselves! Using the senses, they were to design a hero own monologue. The message could be anything, and we saw many examples of that! Since the thesis was so open, there were many interpretations of its chosen topic.
