On this line you will never be bored, because we do so much fun! Besides, you always have the opportunity to challenge yourself. And all the experiences we share, as well as pushing boundaries together, make the students very close! The affinity you get here is really something everyone should get to experience.
The teacher is wonderfully engaged and knowledgeable. It is a perfect mix of trying different exciting activities such as rafting, kiting and via ferrata, and delving into certain areas so that you have the skills to do it on your own later, such as climbing and mountain hiking. Thus, you can benefit from what you learn on the line for the rest of your life!

As a student, you yourself can influence the content of the line. But at the same time as the content varies from year to year, it will be something that is similar.

The area around Mosjøen has some of the world's best paddling rivers. We start off at quiet parties before heading into rougher rivers. We go rafting and scouting on Auster Vefsna before taking our kayaks up and paddling it ourselves. In a river kayak, you get closer to the water than a large raft, and you yourself control what is happening. In other words, you get more of your own challenge and mastery. We additionally spend a lot of time on safety, reading river and basic techniques. You will also get to try surfing in a kayak, something you can definitely enjoy!
The school is by the sea and we have our own kayaks. That is, you can paddle as much as you want this year. You get a Wet Pass with a Basic Course and we practice different rescue techniques. In winter, we go to the pool and practice on the eskimorulla.
In autumn we go hiking on foot. We can choose from classics such as The Seven Sisters on foot and local walks with good views. The low but pointed coastal mountains are also incredibly beautiful. In winter, we use mountain skiing/climbing equipment to explore the mountains in the surrounding area with snow on.
The course includes belay training with a device and the opportunity to get your Brattkort (Belay Certificate). We climb indoors, out on the local climbing field. When the opportunity arises in winter, we bring crampons and ice axes and climb on ice.
We also have trips and activities along with other courses at the school. After Christmas we go on a joint trip to Hemavan and ski together, we have joint overnight trips, activity days and training across the lines.
We also have a number of other activities on the line that we spice up everyday life with from time to time. In autumn we have, for example, cave walking in Øyfjellgrotta, mountain walks on foot, rafting, canyoning and via-ferrata. After Christmas we go skiing, have avalanche courses and dog sledding.

Walk through the 500-meter-long kaklsten cave in Øyfjellet. Not very demanding, but challenging enough for it to be an exciting trip.
Via Ferrata is a form of climbing trail where you follow a path with fixed means of securing. In Mosjøen we have Northern Norway's first, overlooking the city!
Join us for a steep, breezy and exciting experience! We guarantee you goosebumps, tingling in your stomach and an amazing sense of mastery on top!!
We will go to Lofoten in the autumn. Here we surf on famous surf beaches and get to try the board with the wild northern Norwegian nature in the background. We also go mountain hikes in the majestic mountains and test out freediving.
We also have a number of other activities on the line that we spice up everyday life with from time to time. For example, cave walking in Øyfjellgrotta, mountain walks on foot, rafting, canyoning and via-ferrata.

We have a local ski area not far from the school, and here we can ski all winter when there is snow. We work with the centre on ski patrol, which gives us discounted season passes.
During the winter we go on trips to major ski destinations in the region. Hemavan, Grong and Kittelfjell offer everything from fantastic parking to quality off-piste driving. Here there is something for everyone.
We also have a number of other activities on the line that we spice up everyday life with from time to time. For example, mountain walks on foot, avalanche courses, canyoning and dog sledding at Sjåmoen.

If you have Norwegian citizenship, Lånekassen has excellent scholarship schemes and loan opportunities. If you quit school during the school year, you must pay tuition for 6 weeks from the end date. This also applies if you were to be expelled for violating school rules.
We don't have too many criteria for who can apply, but youhave to be 18 years old or become so during the first semester. You can apply from October 1 to next year's courses and we are admitting students on an ongoing basis from November 15. Then you will receive an email from us with a response to the application. We will continue to admit students until the school are filled. In some cases, the composition of the line will determine whether you can fit or have to be put on a waiting list. For example, the composition of instruments may be of importance. If there are more applicants for a line than there is room for, your applicant number will determine whether or not you get an offer. In some cases, gender balance willhave an impact.
Line teachers usually contact those who apply. Then you can get to know each other a little better and find out if you have found the course that suits you best. Maybe you have some questions, are unsecure or have something you want to tell us about yourself.
