Daily life

Below you can see what the schedule looks like in regular weeks. There might be some adjustments for the next school year, but the hourly ratio will be the same. Most electives take place in the afternoon/evening. Some line activity also involves working in the evening. We divide the school year into 5 periods, which will entail some changes to the schedule throughout the year.

Practical Information
We have a kitchen adjacent to the student lounge that can be used if you want to cook yourself a snack. Here the principle of cleaning after oneself applies.
At school, you wash your clothes in a communal laundry room, which all students use. You can get detergent from us. You may want to label the clothes before you arrive so that they are not so easily mistaken.
It is not allowed to bring pets to school. Smoking only in designated places (including electric cigarettes). During the year there are teachings/events approximately every other Saturday and 4-5 Sundays.
The school is open until we lock at 11pm (until usual). It is almost a prerequisite for thriving at a folk high school that one knows how to take advantage of this opportunity. Some of the teaching rooms are occasionally rented out for courses and the like, but there is still good access in most rooms even outside regular teaching hours.
As a student at a folk high school, you have to take some responsibility for the community, both socially and practically. It also involves work on the tableware and kitchen/boarding service. In addition to these common duties, cleaning and order in your own room and bathroom/wc is of course your responsibility.
